2011 Disaster

After 2011 may 11,
There are no power grids, no satellites ,no computers and no mobiles phones will going to be work . A Geomagnetic storm coming from sun which will effect our earth.
If this catastrophic event happens, the world could be plunged into darkness, and massive hysteria, panic and catastrophic worldwide loss of life would be immanent.If the gust of solar magnetic storm hits the magnetic field hardly ,then the sun magnetic field is struck into the our earth magnetic field . The current and mag netic field are opposite to each other . Therefore due this magnetic field no current is going to be produced.(current and magnetic field are perpendicular to each other)

What is solar storm?
When a gust of solar wind hits Earth’s magnetic field, theimpact causes the magnetic field to shake. If it shakes hard enough, we call it a geomagnetic storm.
Around the earth ionization radiation is formed.
This radiation is very harmful to space travelers.And persons traveling in the Aeroplanes with long heights.
When observing the Sun with appropriate filtration, the most immediately visible features are usually its sunspots,which are well-defined surface areas that appear darker than their surroundings because of lower temperatures. Sunspots are regions of intense magnetic activity where convection is inhibitedby strong magnetic fields, reducing energy transport from the hot interior to the surface. The magnetic field gives rise to strong heating inthe corona, forming active regions that are the source of intense solar flares and coronal mass ejections. The largest
sunspots can be tens of thousands of
kilometres across.
The number of sunspots visible on the Sun is not constant, but varies over a 11 year cycle known as the solar cycle. At a typical solar minimum, few sunspots are visible, and occasionally none at all can be seen. Those that do appear are at high solar latitudes. As the sunspot cycle progresses, the number of sunspots increases and they move closer to the equator of the Sun, a phenomenon described by sporer's law. Sunspots usually exist as pairs with opposite magnetic polarity. The polarity of the leading sunspot alternates every solar cycle, so that it will be a north magnetic pole in one solar cycle and a south magnetic pole in the next.
A coronal mass ejection (CME) is an ejection of material from the solar corona

(In astronomy, a corona is the luminous plasma "atmosphere" of the sun or other celestial body, extending millions of kilometers into space, most easily seen during a total solar Eclipse) , observed with a white-light coranagraph.
The material consists of plasma consisting primarily of electtrons and protons (in addition to small quantities of heavier elements such as helium, oxygen, and iron), plus the entrained coronal magnetic field. When the ejecta reaches the Earth as an ICME (Interplanetary CME), it may disrupt the Earth's magnetosphere, compressing it on the dayside and extending the nightside tail. When the magnetosphere recreates on the nightside, it creates trillions of watts of power which is directed back towards the Earth's upper atmosphere. This process can cause particularly strong aurora also known as the Northern Lights (in the Northern Hemisphere) and the Southern Lights (in the Southern Hemisphere). CME events, along with solar flares, can disrupt radio transmissions, cause power outages (blackouts), and cause damage to satelites and electrical transmission lines.

Aurorawhen ever the solar storm strikes the earth atmospherethen aurora will appear.The aurora is a bright glow observed in the night sky, usually in the polar zone.
For this reason some scientists call it a "polar aurora" (or "aurora polaris"). In northern latitudes, it is known as the aurora borealis , which is named after the Roman goddess of the dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for north wind, Boreas, Especially in Europe, it often appears as a reddish glow on the northern horizon, as if the sun were rising from an unusual direction. The aurora borealis is also called the northern lights Northern hemisphere The aurora borealis most often occurs from September to October .
